Patrick F. Rush, 89, of Little Egg Harbor, formerly of Allamuchy Twp. & East Hanover, NJ, died November 20, 2014 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Born March 5, 1925 in West Orange, NJ, he was the son of the late Thomas & Mary Ellen Dempsey Rush. Before his retirement, Mr. Rush was employed as a business agent representing Plumbers Local #24 in Newark, NJ as well as Local #122 since 1947. Prior to his professional career, Patrick proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre as a gunners mate from 1943–1945. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, East Hanover, NJ. The consummate outdoorsman, Patrick loved fishing and bird hunting with his trusty English Setters, Dixie & Pepper. In keeping with his love of the outdoors, another favorite hobby of his was raising and releasing pheasant back into the wild. In his retirement he enjoyed his country home in Allamuchy, New Jersey and his winter home in Naples, Florida.  Mr. Rush is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Palmieri Rush of Little Egg Harbor. Two sons; Patrick & his wife, Patricia Rush of Little Egg Harbor and Matthew Rush of Allamuchy Twp, NJ. One beautiful granddaughter, Brittney Rush. He was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph, Martin, James, Thomas, Jack, Nellie, Katherine & Winifred. Visitation and Prayer services will be in Tuesday, 11-25-14 from 10am to 12pm with the service beginning promptly at noon in the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.cochranfuneral.com.

Kasper Road will not be the same without Pat...please accept our loving thoughts and deep sympathy Mary, for you and your family. I will miss his advice and humorous comments.
