ARTHUR K. SIRKIS
On January 15th, Arthur K. Sirkis of Hackettstown, NJ passed away quietly at his home with his wife by his side.
Born in Brooklyn, New York on May 3, 1931, Arthur graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn and received a Congressional appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point. After graduating in 1954 and proudly serving as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, Arthur graduated from New York Law School in 1968 and was admitted to the bar in New York and New Jersey. Arthur founded his law firm in Hackettstown, NJ. Throughout his 40 year career, he was very well known, highly respected, and greatly appreciated for his hard work, compassion and dedication to helping his clients.
Arthur enjoyed bicycling, gardening, and was a passionate traveler. His memberships included Hackettstown Kiwanis, West Point Society of New Jersey, Jewish Center of Northwest New Jersey, and the Warren County Bar Association.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Phyllis (Neher), five children; Jonathan (Laura), Boulder, CO, Jane Przada (Jerry), Dallas, TX, Daniel (Brenda), Yardley, PA, Joan Lavery, Hacketttstown, NJ and Ann Miranda (Mason), Boston, MA, and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Louis and Michael plus many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. Burial will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ
Calling hours will be Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 6:00pm-9:00pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J.
