Rest easy, Dad. I hate to bury you, but you're at peace. I love you always. I miss your sarcastic comments so much. I miss our jokes and stupidity. And our quick check rides. You'll always be the best and forever remembered.

Oh Joe, I don't know how to express how sad I am that you are gone from this world. One of my very favorites to be on the mid watch with, you always had some silly, funny, sometimes inappropriate thing to say. When God brought you home, I know all of us left behind feel a little better for having known you. May God bless your family as they gave the world a very good man. Rest In Peace my friend. To the family I know it is hard and you will make it through this tough time. I'm here anytime day or night. We will miss his funny way and he was one hell of a guy. He is not in pain anymore and hopefully enjoying being with the family. Love you all. Kathy

I hadn't seen Joe in a long time, but we reconnected a few years ago via Facebook. It was great to hear from an old friend, he even invited me last year to see Motley Crue during their farewell tour. Unfortunately, I had to decline...wish I didn't. People always say, let's get together, let's catch up...kinda wishing we did brother.Godspeed my friend, hope the pain is gone and you're at peace.

To Joe's family and friends, I am so saddened by Joe's passing. He was truly a wonderful friend. I never, in over 20 years heard him speak ill of anyone. He found the best in others even when they were at their worst. Whenever I felt down, or as if the world was on my shoulders, Joe was quick with kind and encouraging words. He believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. I will miss him terribly and treasure his memory always. May time heal your hearts and memories lift your spirits. Sincerely, Jeannie Hicks
