Margaret Bird, 94, longtime resident of Hackettstown, NJ died on December 15, 2013 at Warren Haven Care Center, Mansfield Township, NJ. Born on June 27, 1919 in Port Morris, NJ to the late John I. and Lena (Crawn) Decker. She was predeceased by her husband William T. "Bill" Bird in 1983.
Margaret was a Housekeeping Supervisor at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center prior to her retirement many years ago. She loved country music, worked all of her life and family was everything to her.
She is survived by daughters, Margaret A. Carrell, Port Murray, NJ; Linda M. Bird, Hackettstown, NJ; sons, William J. Bird, Middlebury, FL. and Robert L. Bird, Phillipsburg, NJ; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
Funeral Service will be on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Mountain Ave., Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to either Warren Haven Care Center, 350 Oxford Road, Oxford, NJ 07863 or the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834-1365.

We are deeply saddened about Grandmom passing. She will be remembered forever by us and those that knew her. We only wish we had more time to spend with her through the years. The time we did spend with her will be cherished forever. The entire family is in our prayers.
