Maureen was the daughter of Robert F. King (deceased) and Florence Donnelly King (deceased), also of Budd Lake. She was sister to Robert King (Fort Myers Beach, FL), Thomas King (deceased, formerly of Budd Lake), Patrick King (St. Louis, MO), and Brian King (deceased, formerly of Budd Lake) and sister-in-law to Patricia King (St. Louis, MO), Nicole Winnie (Saddlebrook, NJ), and Jean King (deceased). She was the mother of two children, Jessica Winnie Priest (Hopatcong, NJ) and Matthew Winnie (Hackettstown, NJ), mother-in-law to David Priest, and the grandmother of Brenna, Connor, and Callen Priest (all of Hopatcong, NJ). She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Rosemary King (Lambertville, NJ), Desiree Demuro (Howell, NJ), Julie Kelly (Hopatcong, NJ), Jamie King (Greenacres, FL), Sarah King Glotfelty (Philadelphia, PA), Robert J. King (St. Louis, MO), Cassandra, Mckenna, and Emmerson Winnie (all of Saddle Brook, NJ), as well as six great-nieces and great-nephews: Alexandria, Nicole, Fiona, Tige, Reghan, and Rory. She also cherished her relationships with her former husband, Clifford G. Winnie (Shallotte, NC) and her former in-laws, Joseph and Joan Winnie (Maywood, NJ), Cynthia Winnie (deceased), and Christopher Winnie (Saddlebrook, NJ).
Maureen was born in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn in 1955 and spent summers in Budd Lake until her family moved to Budd Lake year-round in 1963. She attended St. Michael School in Netcong through grade eight and graduated from West Morris Regional High School in 1972. Maureen was a homemaker and took great joy in her immediate and extended family. She will be remembered for her deep, loving relationships with her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 4-8 pm.
A memorial mass is being held at the St. Judes's R.C.Church, budd Lake, NJ on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 10 am.
