Herbert S. Estell, age 96, of Box 46, Tranquility, NJ died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Forest Manor Health Care Ctr. of Hope, NJ. Mr. Estell was born January 16, 1916 in Orange, NJ. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Louise (Tramer) Estell. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife; Eunice nee-Turton, 2 brothers; Lindon "Bill" And Stanley Estell and one sister; Hazel.

In 1955 Herbert established the Bruce CC Co., Inc., Tranquility, NJ which was a dye producing company. For over 50 years he worked his company as CEO, Lab Technician, Sales Rep., Mixer, Packer and sometimes delivery man. He retired in December 2008 at the age of 92. Previously he was employed at the former American Dyewood Co. in Belleville, NJ.

Herbert attended the Orange Public Schools and was a graduate of Rutgers University. He was an avid Collector and gardener and had many interest. His favorite hobby was rocks and minerals. His knowledge and collection were extensive.

Todd Estell And His Wife Martha of Burkittsville, MD,
Grant Estell And His Wife Jani of Brooks, ME;
sister: Shirley Kanora of Fort Myers, FL;

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Rev. Joseph McCarthy officiating. Burial will be in Tranquility Cemetery, Tranquility.

Calling hours will be Friday, February 3, 2012 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J..
