 Evelyn Lavinia Thompson, 89, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017. She was born in Chester to the late Lavinia and Ralph Robinson on September 10, 1927. Evelyn worked for many years at the Seeing Eye, and was a life member of the Mendham Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. A loving mother and grandmother, she lead an active life spending time with her family, playing cards, knitting, traveling and going to the YMCA. Evelyn was full of life and her sense of humor and strong will are unmatched by all who knew her.

Evelyn is predeceased by her husband, Arthur, and siblings Dorothy Robinson, Charlotte Hoffman, Robert Robinson and Helen Robinson. She is survived by her daughter Terry (Jim) Koeniger and her children Kim (Josh) Gang, Melissa (Gerry) Ciottariello, Stephen (Maria) Thompson and his children Kyle and Hailey Thompson, her son David (Sue) Thompson and his children Kellie, Dana and Ryan, her brother, Francis “Fritz” Robinson, and great-grandchildren Owen, Greyson and Parker Gang, and Katie and Sarah Ciottariello.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 4-8 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.   

A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11 am at the funeral home with burial following at Somerset Hills Cemetery, Bernardsville, NJ

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Seeing Eye and/or the Mendham Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, 24 East Main Street, Mendham, NJ  07945-1505

So sorry for the loss of Evelyn. We have so many wonderful memories of her . she was always so good to us and good to my son Jake. Always had a smile and could make u laugh. She will be missed
