Josephine Joan Patz, 90,  of Allamuchy Twp., Great Meadows, NJ formally of Toms River, W. Caldwell and Fairfield, NJ died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center of Hackettstown, NJ. Josephine was born February 15, 1922 in Irvington, NJ. She was the daughter of the late John R. and Concetta (D'Amica) Vitale.

She was the owner of JJP Varitype Services, West Caldwell, NJ. Josephine loved her trips to Casinos and traveling on Cruises with family and friends.She was a former member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary, Toms River, NJ; she was an avid reader of mysteries, science fiction and enjoyed the television shows, NCIS and Murder She Wrote; she loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Edward D. Patz ; 1 Son & Wife , James & Elizabeth Taylor; 1 Daughter & Husband, Jo-Anne & Frank Johnson; Grandaughter & her husband, Jennifer & Tom Murray; Grandson & Wife, David & Kiha Baldwin; Grandchildren, Brian And Kristen Perry; Grandaughter Karen Perry-Korduba & her husband Adrian Korduba; Grandson & Wife, Jason & Jennifer Taylor; Grandson, Adam Taylor   and fiance Sabrina; Niece, Diane Gebhart; Great Nephews & Great Niece, Charlie, Elizabeth, and Ward;  Great Grandson, Harrison James; Great Grandaughter, Alexis Grace Taylor; Great Grandchildren, Griffin, Tori And Cooper Murray; Great Grandchildren, Gabriel & Grace Baldwin; Good friends, Jennifer, Angie and Pat. Late brother, Ralph J. Vitale; late sisters, Rose Vitale and Elizabeth Leonard.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. Cremation will be private.
