Francis "Frank" X. Banville, age 87, of Hackettstown, NJ formerly of South Carolina and Branchville, NJ died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center of Hackettstown, NJ. Francis was born January 25, 1926 in New York City, NY. He is the son of the late Francis Xavier and the late Anna Margaret (Flynn) Banville. He was married to Pauline Banville for 29 years. Previously,Frank was married to the late Frances Theresa (Stalker) Banville. He is also predeceased by his son Kenneth Banville and brother Robert Banville
 
He served in the Army during World War II from 1944 to 1946. He was employed by Picatinny Arsenal, Wharton, NJ as an Accountant. 
Francis was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption in Hackettstown, NJ, he was also a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Seneca, SC, a member of the VFW and American Legion in both the Branchville and Hackettstown, NJ. Frank enjoyed gardening, but his hobby and passion was as a pigeon fancier, he owned, bred and showed fancy and sporting breeds for over 60 years.
 
He is survived by his wife: Pauline (Chapleau) Banville, 1 son Richard Banville; 1 daughter; Nancy Ann Ross and her husband David; 2 stepsons, Wain Harrison, Dean Harrison;  2 stepdaughters; Janice Ferguson and husband Alex and Lynn Harrison; 1 sister Janet Gokey, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
 
A memorial mass will be held at  St. Mary's Church Of The Assumption, 305 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. on Tuesday, March 12,  2013 at 11:00am.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital
