Elizabeth Boresen, age 94, of Frelinghuysen Township formerly of Saddlebrook, NJ died Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Elizabeth was born October 18, 1919 in Jersey City, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Emma (Kruse) Malmbach. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her brother; William and 5 sisters; Emma, Hattie, Louise, Catherine and Frances.
She was employed at a Teacher for the Mount Olive High School, Mount Olive, NJ for several years. Elizabeth earned her B.S. Degree in Education and her Master’s Degree in Distributive Education from Montclair State College. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Glen Rock, NJ and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and past Matron Jeptha Chapter, Ridgewood, NJ.
She is survived by her daughter; Karen Newquist and her husband James, 2 grandchildren: Kenneth Newquist and wife Sue and Kristen Valenti and her husband Frank, and 5 great grandchildren.
Cremation will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
