 Joseph DeLorenzo, age 96, resided for the past 16 years with his daughter in Berkeley Heights, NJ passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, January 8, 2016 at home.  Joseph was born June 1, 1919 in Passaic, NJ. He is the son of the late Felix (Feliciano) and Jennie (Eugenia Bettio) DeLorenzo.  In addition to his parents Joe is preceded in death by 7 brothers: Emedio, Guido, Caesar, Louis, Thomas, Leo and Arnold, 3 sisters; Ida, Anna, Vera and 1 granddaughter; Myra 

Joey lived most of his life in Bloomfield, NJ.  He was a farmer by trade, enjoying all aspects of farming Joey loved to work his land.  Most of all he enjoyed spending all his time with family and friends.  He was a devoted father to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

He is survived by 4 daughters: Joanne DeLorenzo and husband Pat Mele, Rose DeLorenzo, Lori Boucher and husband Patrick, Anne Marie DeLorenzo, 2 sons; Joseph DeLorenzo and wife Lori, James DeLorenzo and wife Patti, 1 sister; Frances DeLorenzo, 13 grandchildren; Michelle, Justin, Chasma, PJ, Max, Joel, Claire, Michael, Kristyn, Nicole, Caroline, Joanne Elizabeth, Jessica; 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 12 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ

A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 213 Main Street, Hackettstown, NJ on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 10:30 am with Dr. Rev. Frank Fowler officiating.

saying goodbye to someone is not very easy. so long Joe. you were a good brother in law to me. We used to watch cowboy movies together and you used to take my friends and I to the arcades when I was a kid. always nice to me. You told me things about my tomatoes and peppers how I was planting them wrong. well, so long. Jeanette

so long Joe. have a safe journey back to God. you were a good brother in law to me. we used to watch cowboy movies together when I was younger. so long. you used to take my friends and I to the arcades when we were kids. wasn't too long ago when I saw you last. you were always nice and polite to me.
