Lois Elizabeth (Kopp) Robertson, 95, of Hackettstown died on Friday, March 22 at the House of the Good Shepherd, Hackettstown, NJ. She was born on March 15, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of the late George J. and Georgia Mae (Valk) Kopp. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, J. Herbert Robertson Jr. who passed away in 2013. Lois began her career as an executive secretary at the Curtiss-Wright Corp in Caldwell, NJ and,after raising a family, returned to work at Kinnelon High School in Kinnelon, NJ. She was a faithful member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Hackettstown at the time of her death, and before that was an active member of women’s groups at the Columbus, NJ, Wesley Methodist Church and the Butler Methodist Church. Lois enjoyed and excelled at many artistic hobbies, including sewing, knitting, cross-stitch, and baking for family and friends. After retiring, she also obtained a business license for “Floral Art” creating arrangements and wall hangings using dried and silk flowers. Lois was also known for her beautiful penmanship and love of letter-writing to friends and family. She is survived by 2 daughters, Marilyn and husband Nasrallah Misk of Jackson Heights, NY and Elaine and husband Richard Warren, Chester, NJ; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan Misk and Sarah and Eric Warren; brother-in-law Bruce and wife Lois Robertson of Ringwood, and sisters-in-law Gloria Robertson of Stirling and Jean Kopp also of the House of the Good Shepherd. Lois was predeceased by her brother George J Kopp, Jr and her sister Janet Finnamore. Visitation will be on Monday, March 25, 2019, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Interment will be on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 with a graveside service at 11:00 AM (please meet at the cemetery) at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Rd, Totowa, NJ 07512. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the House of the Good Shepherd, Shepherd’s Fund, 798 Willow Grove St, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
