Bruce H. Carlson, 40, of Netcong, NJ. died Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Born January 8, 1974 in Newton, NJ. he is the son of his loving Mom & Dad, Bruce H. & Mary Lepre Carlson, Sr. of Port Richey, Fla. Bruce was a lifelong resident of Netcong.
Mr. Carlson was employed by the Morris County Sheriff’s Dept. and worked within the corrections unit in Morris Twp., NJ for the past 5 years. Bruce was a 21 yr. member of the Netcong Fire Department, Hilltop Company #2 having served as Chief in 2011. Member of the local P.B.A. and an active member of the Netcong Sports Club.
In addition to his parents, Bruce is survived by his precious son Brian Carlson at home. A brother, (yes, he really does have a brother!) Jayson Carlson of Kenvile, NJ & Bruce’s girlfriend, Christine Milligan and her children, Kora & Delaney. In 2011, Bruce's devoted wife and mother of their son Brian, Robin Marie Lehmann past away January 5, 2011.
Visitation will be on Sunday, 11-23-14 from 4 – 8pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ, 07840. Funeral services will be Monday, 10:00am 11-24-14 at St. Michael’s Church, 4 Church St., Netcong, NJ, 07857.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you please consider making donations to either; The Brian Carlson College Fund, care of the funeral home or Netcong Fire Dept., Hilltop Company #2, Netcong, NJ. Online condolences may be sent to www.cochranfuneral.com.

I did not know Bruce personally but he must of been a really special man to pick Christine Milligan as his girlfriend. I know he was an important and positive role model to her girls, Kora and Delaney. I am so very sorry these beautiful young ladies have to suffer another loss. Bruce H. Carlson will be missed!
