Our beloved mother, Frances Eleanor Sandelli, 96, passed away peacefully at The Legacy House in Ocala, FL, on April 15, 2017, with family by her side.  She was born in Franklin, NJ, on August 3, 1920, to the late Samuel Hemlock and Anna Karczmar.  During her long life, Mrs. Sandelli resided in Hackettstown, NJ, Bermuda, and Ocala, FL.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, cooking, and keeping in touch with her family and many lifelong friends.  She and her late husband, Alfred, were also avid golfers.  She was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Hackettstown for 58 years and of Queen of Peace in Ocala for over 30 years.  Mrs. Sandelli is survived by her daughter Georgine (Luis) Villafana of White Stone, VA; sons Alfred (Roberta) Sandelli, Jr., and James (Janet) Sandelli of Oak Ridge, NC; sister Helen Wright of Brunswick, GA; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Alfred St., in 2012, and her grandson Michael, in 2006.  Visitation will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at HIERS-BAXLEY FUNERAL SERVICES-Timber Ridge.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, State Road 200, Ocala, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 8:30 AM.  Interment will be Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ, on April 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services-Timber Ridge, and Cochran Funeral Home, Hackettstown, NJ.

Alfred and family, So sorry to hear about the passing of your lovely mother. Did you know she gave my Mom a "well teethed" silver baby rattle for my little sister, Ruthanne, who was born with developmental problems? That was such a lovely thing for one mother to share with another. I still have the rattle and hang it on our tree every year. This year I will think about your Mom when we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Dear Georgine, Al and Jim, So sorry for your loss. My parents, Alice and Irv, were very good friends with your folks. I remember the time they stayed at their home in Bermuda. They had the time of their lives. Our prayers are with you.

Dear Family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. As you well know, I have known your Mom all of my life. Her and I continued to exchange Christmas every year since your grandparents left Shades of Death and she always included a wonderful message each year. May she rest in peace.
