Stanley Runyon, Jr, 65, of Washington, NJ, passed away at his residence on Monday, August 6, 2018. Born in Easton, Pa., Stanley was the son of the late Stanley & Marjorie Richards Runyon, Sr. Stanley was raised in Hackettstown and has lived in Washington for the past 10 years. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Runyon was employed by the former M&M Mars Candy Company of Hackettstown in the production line. He is survived by one brother, James F. Runyon and his wife Theresa of Independence Twp., NJ. Two Aunts; Louise Karl & Harriet Gaworlwicz of Washington, NJ. He was also survived by many loving cousins. Viewing and funeral services will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840 on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 10:00am to 12:00pm with services beginning promptly at noon. Interment will follow at the Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.cochranfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stanley's name to your local A.S.P.C.A.

Stan was my upstairs neighbor and friend for almost 10 years. I will miss him a lot . We always decorated our shared vestibule for the seasons or with just some flowers and made it very homey. When my boyfriend moved in, he joined in the decorating also. We exchanged holiday and birthday gift for our dogs. When fire struck our apartments, we kept in touch and looked forward to “living” together again. Just this past Friday, I received a blank text from Stan. I called him right away. We laughed as he said he was playing with his phone. We were on the phone for about a half hour and he said “Well, I’m glad I got to talk to you!” Both my boyfriend and I were always so happy to see Stan and Pearl ! Stan will be greatly missed! I cannot attend services on Saturday but to his brother, sister-in-law, Aunts and family I express my deepest condolences. Stan always spoke about all of you with such happiness and love.
