Margaret "Peg" M. Hill

Margaret M. Hill, longtime resident of Hackettstown died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, she was 94. Margaret was born March 16, 1920 in Washington Township, NJ (Warren County) and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ella Sutton Young. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Wesley C. Hill in 2008. Peg graduated from Hackettstown High School class of 1938. Was a member of the Cataract Hose Ladies Auxiliary for 50 years Having served as past President, she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Years ago, Peg worked as the Director of the Hackettstown Welfare Assistance Board and as a case worker. Peg’s last place of employment was Tri-Caps Answering Service of Hackettstown, NJ. She is survived by her 1 son, Robert C. Hill and his wife Diane of Harmony Twp., NJ ; two daughters, Judy Stone and her husband Michael of Hackettstown, NJ & Bonnie Byerlee and her husbnd Brad, 5 Grandchildren, Don, Megan, Robert, Jr., Sean, Teri & Chad; 5 Great Grandchildren, Aidan, Matthew, Kayla, Kiera & Aubrey. A private graveside service take place on Monday, July 14 at Pequest Union Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Great Meadows, NJ with Rev. Joseph McCarthy officiating. Public calling hours will be Sunday, July 13 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Muscular Dystophy Assoc, Warren County Forest #14, PO Box 804, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865

Mom was a very special person in my life. I loved her very much. She has gone to a great place. Will see her in heaven when my time comes.God Bless

My Wife Robin and I are saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Hill. I worked for years with Mr. Wes Hill at Williams & Hibler and got to know Mrs. Hill through out those years. They were always very nice people to be around, and will be and are in Mr. Wes's case very sorrily miss in Hackettstown. May God grant you all comfort in this time of mourning. Paul & Robin Wallace
