Mary E. (Hansler) Craig, age 92, of Greeley, PA, formerly of Great Meadows, Sparta, NJ and Florida, passed away peacefully Friday, December 9, 2016 at House of the Good Shepherd, Hackettstown.
Ms. Craig was born October 17, 1924 in Great Meadows, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Henderson) Hansler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Craig; 2 brothers, Walter and Robert Hansler; 1 nephew, Wayne Hansler; and a dear, late-in-life companion, Richard Jagger.
Mary was previously employed by Home Insurance, Manhattan, NY as a bookkeeper and at one time operated a cat boarding facility in Sparta, NJ. Mary was a member of the Hawley United Methodist Church, Hawley, PA and the Order of the Eastern Star. An optimist with a wide variety of interests, Mary was active in church activities since her youth. She loved flowers, nature, dogs, cats, socializing with friends, polka music and watching a good football or baseball game on TV.
She is survived by a grandniece, Lisa Dimiceli; a grandnephew, Brian Hansler and his wife, Gisela; 1 nephew, Robert Hansler; a great-grandnephew, Ryan Dimiceli; a great-grandniece, Kelsey Dimiceli; the wife of her nephew Wayne, Sylvia Hansler; and a loving circle of loyal friends, both near and far.
A private graveside burial of ashes will be held at a later date.
