Jerome T. Ferrara, age 89, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at home in Hackettstown. Jerome lived in Hackettstown for the past 44 years coming from the Newark, NJ area and was born October 6, 1922 in Newark, NJ. He is the son of the late Casper and the late Rose (Gilbert) Ferrara. He was married to the late Elizabeth DiGisi Ferrara. Jerome is also predeceased by his daughter: Lynn Sobek and 2 sisters: Mary Niosi and Eleanor Ferrar and 1 son-in-law Robert Warren.

He served in the US Army during WW II in Normandy from 10/15/1940 to 10/22/1942. He was employed as a private business owner most of his life. Mr. Ferrara was a member of the Hackettstown American Legion. He was the former owner of several night clubs in the Sussex are with a lifelong passion for music.

He is survived by his daughter Debra Warren; 1 Brother: Robert & wife Cathy Ferrara; 5 grandchildren: Danielle, Lindsey, Melody, Jacquie And Cristyn; 1 Great Grandchild, Kaden.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 am on Saturday, January 28 at Our Lady Of The Mountain Church, 2 E. Springtown Rd, Long Valley, NJ. Interment is private.
