To the family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I too, worked with Tomio at Mars for over 16 years. He always had a kind word to say or a funny/interesting story to tell as we talked in R&D. He truly was one of the most intriguing people I've ever met and glad to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to all of Tomio's loved ones. I had the privilege and pleasure of working with Tomio at Mars. I looked forward every morning to hearing the bell on his cart as he delivered the daily production samples to Sensory. He would sit and chat with me, telling me stories of his life as a young boy and the challenges his family lived through during the war. He shared anecdotes about how he met Mitzi and about his kids when they were young growing up in Mount Olive. I would laugh at some of the outrageous tales from his days owning the dry cleaners in New York and his brief stint driving famous people around in a limo. I would say he lived the most extraordinary life of anyone I have ever known. To this day I think of him every time I put my hands in the pockets of every cold-weather jacket I own knowing there will be a pair of gloves in the pockets, thanks to his thoughtful Christmas gift every year. I am sad to learn of his passing but extremely grateful to have known him.

So sorry Doug of the passing of your dad. Bob lost both his parents within 10 months of each other, and the only comfort we had was knowing that they were together once again. Please cherish the memories and be at peace that they ar both looking down on you.
