Albert Edward Flatt, age 86, passed away on Monday June 2nd 2014 at the Merry Heart Health Care Center. He was born on July 13th 1927 in Dover, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Russell J Flatt and the late Enza Gilbert. He is predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Mary Jane, and two sons, Robert and David Flatt.
Mr. Flatt proudly served in the United States Navy from 1949 to 1954. After this time, he was employed for 42 years before his retirement in 1990 with Jersey Central Power & Light Company. While there, he held the position of Transmission, Construction & Maintenance of Technical Operations in the Northern Area and was responsible for interviewing new candidates. Mr. Flatt was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, council #2483 of Hackettstown, NJ. He was also a member of the American Legion, post #164 of Hackettstown, NJ and he was a Life and Charter member of the National Rifle Association Golden Eagles. Active in the community he was a member of several additional organizations, including: the Fraternal Order of Police, North Jersey Lodge 18, Chrster, NJ; Mount Olive Towship Police Pistol Club; and the NEBO Hunting and Fishing Loge, Pennsylvania. Date: 06/7/2014 Obituary: Tina Feci, of Hackettstown, NJ, died on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Paragon Village, Mt. Olive Twp., NJ. She was 90 years old. Born in Borgotaro, Italy on November 29, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jonn Brugnoli. Tina moved to the United States as a young adult. In 1998, Tina moved to Hackettstown with her husband Dante from Palisades Park, NJ where they raised their family. She was predeceased by her husband Dante on April 27, 2014. Mrs. Feci retired from Hudson United Bank, Cliffside Park NJ, as a Bank Teller. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption, Hackettstown, NJ, enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time watching the N.Y. Yankees with her husband Dante. Tina is survived by 2 sons, Frank Feci and wife Linda of Hackettstown, NJ, Arthur Feci and wife Linda of Palm Coast, FL, 2 brothers, Geno Brugnoli and his wife Ann, Albert Brugnoli and 1 sister in law, Maryann Sheer. Tina is also survived by 5 loving grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday June 11, 2014 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St. Hackettstown NJ 07840. A Mass will be on Thursday, June 12, 2014, 11:00am at St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption, 305 High St., Hackettstown NJ. Cremation will be private.
