I was very sad to learn of Freddie's passing. We had originally met when I was selling tapes outside of the Rockaway Flea Market. At first he was a customer, then we became friends. When I moved inside, I asked him if he wanted to work the both when I was on the road. That lasted a lot of years. Freddie was just one of the guys there and was loved by everyone. Sadly when the place closed, everyone had to move on. I tried to stay in touch. I moved out of NJ to Ohio. We spoke on the phone a few times. I know he was not doing to well, but he was always upbeat. I tried to call him last month, but his voice mail was full. then I saw the post on Facebook that he had passed. Freddie was sometimes the voice of reason in my darkest times. He never let his condition stop him from having some fun. I hope that in some small way I enriched part of his life. it's always hard to say goodbye, but I know I will see him again. I hope your at peace, my friend. god Bless you. Your friend, Pete

I am so sorry for your loss. Freddie was an amazing person. Always bright and positive. He never let his disability get in the way of our Erie Avenue adventures and getting where he wanted to be. We had so much fun and I will always remember his physical and emotional strength! God bless your family and my prayers are with you all. Nina
