To the Hendershot Family. I will miss Donny tremendously as both he and I shared so many good and hard times together. He was one of a kind (Hard nosed but also compassionate). His work at our American Legion stands as an inspiration to so many of us. He also always reminded us we are there for the Veterans. He is no doubt meeting incoming veterans at "Post Everlasting" to see if they need any help. Your family has experienced a tremendous loss as a Husband, Father, Brother and Uncle. We as friends and Legionnaires will always keep Donny somewhere in our hearts on a daily basis. May God Bless the entire Hendershot Family.

To the family of Don Hendershot Please accept my sincere condolences. I have taken comfort knowing that God . . . will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain.”—Revelation 21:3, 4 The Bible, however, holds out a much different hope. As we have previously noted, the Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future, not in an unknown heaven but right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions. And at that time humans will have the prospect of enjoying perfect health, and they will never have to die again. ‘But surely that is wishful thinking!’ for some may say. For words of encouragement please go to JW.org Sincerely, Roberta

I knew Don when living in Hackettstown and had high regards for his Patriotic way of managing the memorial Parade and the tribute to veterans after the parade. My sincere condolences to the entire Hendershot family... I picture Don with a huge smile walking on the football field when I was in High School at HHS... He was always kind and offer his wisdom to anyone he could help... His countless hours volunteering to help in town in so many activities is only a small mention of how big he was... !!!
