Elizabeth H. Wire, 101 of Frelinghuysen Twp. NJ passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born April 23, 1916 in Newark, NJ, Mrs. Wire was the daughter of the late Frank & Julia Pandak Taute.
Mrs. Wire has lived in the greater Hackettstown area since the 1940’s coming from Newark.
Elizabeth was of the Methodist faith and was also a member of the Independence Seniors Club in Great Meadows, NJ. She previously lived in Boynton Beach, FL for twenty years.
Mrs. Wire is survived by one Daughter; Gail Durling and her husband, Dale with whom she lived. Five Grandchildren; Jay (Dawn) Petty, Brad (Becky) Petty, Renay (Dan) Grover, Alissa (John) Topoleski, and Dale II (Veronica) Durling.
Seven Great Grandchildren; Kevin Petty,Leyanne Forero, Dale III, Ryan and Lauren Durling, and Tyler and Cassidy Petty.
One Great Great Granddaughter, Georgia Petty.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, William,one daughter, Carol Petty and one son, Ronald Wire.
The visitation and funeral will be on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
The viewing will be from 1:00 – 2:00pm with the funeral service beginning at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at the Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ.
