Rose Anita (Bangs) Rollison, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 01, 2015 reuniting with her beloved husband. She will be dearly missed. She was living at the NJ Veterans Home in Paramus, NJ, and was formerly of Hope, NJ. Born: 1925 in Spartansburg, PA, she was the eldest daughter of 12 children of the late Ralph and Elda (Boyle) Bangs. Rose and her husband, Willard (Bill) Arthur Rollison, Sr. were married for 56 years. Before living in Paramus, NJ, in 2003, she lived in Great Meadows - Hope, NJ area. Rose was a homemaker most of her life. She loved taking care of her family and friends; bountiful flower gardens; teaching her children, while keeping them out of mischief, canning from most of their vegetables out of their many fields; also making jams and jellies; and baking awesome breads, meals, and desserts. She enjoyed creating and selling Art-Tex Liquid Embroidery Paints and Avon. She loved to read and enjoy her large collection of LPs, with some Atlantic City and Bingo in her later years. They also welcomed foster children to their home, Rose also assisted the start-up of the First Aid Ladies Auxiliary Independence Township, NJ and was an assistant Girl Scout Leader. Her work outside of the home included being a nurses-aid at Warren Haven Nursing Home, Oxford, NJ and was a packer for M and M Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ for 6 years upon retirement. After retiring, she trained and worked as a Home Health-aide. She was a member of the Vienna Methodist Church, and later a member of The Salvation Army, E. Stroudsburg, PA. She is survived by 6 daughters, Anita Mitchell (and Philip) of Arlington, TX; Joyce Coleman (and Arthur, Sr.) of Fayetteville, NC; Elda Schlomer (and Jack) of Sciota, PA.; Robin Oshinski of Wilmington, NC; Laura Finkle(and Lawrence) of Port Murray, NJ; Mary Miller of Stroudsburg, PA; and 1 son, Willard, Jr. (and Karen) of Ennis, TX; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 2 brothers, Richard Bangs of Pleasantville PA; John Bangs of McKinney, TX; 3 sisters, Betty King of Wills Point, TX; Patricia Stiffler of Florence, AZ; Marjorie Jackson of Richardson, TX. In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by 2 great granddaughters, Lisa Marie Cleveland and Collette Marie Oshinski, and by 6 siblings Gladys, George, Mary, Anabel, Turah and Arthur. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cochran Funeral Home, Inc, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Cochran Funeral Home at 12 noon. Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 1 to 6pm at Cochran Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Moravian Cemetery, Hope, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 226 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA and online condolences may be made at www.cochranfuneral.com in memory of Rose.

To the Rollison Family - I wish I could be there to give you each a hug. I will be thinking of you and Aunt Rose often during this difficult time. Aunt Rose provided so many wonderful memories for me over the years. I sure will miss her. Love you all - Sharon & John

Dear Robin, Elda, Laura, Willard, Mary, Joyce, Anita, and families-please accept my sincerest condolences for the passing of your mother, Rose. I remember her very well, especially when she worked at M & M, where she and I talked whenever we saw each other; I believe I talked with her more then than during my childhood years. Please remember the good times and know that she is no longer in pain...she is with our Father in Heaven and other loved ones. Death is harder on those of us left behind for we feel that loss, however, please reach out to God to give you comfort. As I told Robin, your mother passed on the anniversary of my father's passing 26 years ago. I remember back then I took comfort, not only through prayers to God, but also through a song by Mike and the Mechanics called "The Living Years." May you all find the comfort you need at this time as I did then. Love, Ann
