Beatrice M.  Young, "Grandma B." of Hackettstown, N.J.peacefully went to sleep on Thursday, 04/26/12 at House of the Good Shepherd, Hackettstown, N.J.  with her loving daughter Terry, by her side.
Born December 21, 1925 in Newton, N.J. she was the daughter of the late William & Hazel Snook Gould. Beatrice has lived in the Hackettstown area for the past 18 yrs. coming from Newton, N.J. where she lived all of her life.
She has been retired for many years and previously worked as a professional seamstress at the Franklin Dress Company of New Jersey. She was a member of Local #161 Garment Workers Union for many years. "Grandma B" loved being with her family and working on puzzles and crosswords.
She is survived by a daughter: Terry Lee Armstrong of Hackettstown, N.J.  and 4 Grandchildren, Tammy Humphrey - Green Twp.N.J. , Keisha Gallegos - California, Lorie Getchius - Blairstown, N.J. & Dana Yohner - California. She also had 9 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her Husband, Leon Whitfield Young, Jr. also known as "Shorty". Daughter, Vicki May Berry and a sister, Dorothy Ernst.
Friends may call on Wednesday 5-2-12 from 6-8pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840.  Memorial Services will follow at 8pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassionate Care, 532 Lafayette Rd., Sparta, N.J. 07871 or to Breast Cancer Research.
