Thomas W. Campion, age 90, of Hackettstown, formerly of Paterson, NJ and Greenwood Lake, NY died peacefully Friday, August 16, 2019 at home. Tom was born May 5, 1929 in Paterson, NJ to the late Thomas W. Campion Sr and Ellen (Harvey) Campion. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Mary B. (DeStefano) Campion, one brother, and four sisters.
Tom served proudly in the United States Army during peacetime. He was previously employed by Dubnoff, Blanda & Koch, Clifton, NJ as their Construction General Supervisor for many years before retiring. Tom was a passionate hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Bricklayers and Masons International Union of America, Local #2, Paterson, NJ.
He is survived by three sons, Thomas Campion and wife Gioia, Frank Campion and wife Irene, Kevin Campion and wife Connie, eight grandchildren, Thomas, Rusty, Stephanie, Chad, Cyndi, Keith, Katrina and Tori, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Mountain Church, Long Valley on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. (Please meet at church the day of the funeral.)
Visitation will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 4-8 pm.
For those desiring donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memorial Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 in memory of Tom.

Uncle Tom you will be truly missed. Thank you for all the beautiful childhood memories. You were such a beautiful person inside and out and like a second father to me. Thank you for always being there for my Mom, your sister. She loved you so very much. I know you are joyful reuniting with your wife and family. Love you always. Till we meet again.

To Tom, Frank, Kevin and the entire Campion family. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy on the passing of a great man, Tom Campion Sr! We will miss his wonderful friendly nature and his big smile until we see him again. His spirit will live on thru his wonderful family he has left here to carry on, and may the good Lord have a special place in Heaven for him to hunt, fish and enjoy forever!! God Bless Tom!
