Hildegard Scala, age 83, of Panther Valley, Allamuchy Township, NJ died Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, N.J.. Hildegard was born August 15, 1928 in Jersey City, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Karl A. and Martha M. (Bayer) Hans.

She was employed by St. Barnabas Hospital, Livingston, NJ as a Manager. 
Hildegard and her husband Theodore "Ted" were married for 60 years. They lived in Panther Valley (Allamuchy Township) for 30 years coming from Chatham Township, NJ. Hildegard received her B.S. in Commercial Art from Pratt Institute. She loved to paint, sew and crochet.

She is survived by her husband: Theodore "Ted" R.Scala at home; one son, Gregory R. and Amy Scala; one daughter, Leesa T. and John McCarty; Sister of Martha Kmetz; 2 Grandchildren, Jennifer Scala And Adam McCarty.
