Edward C. Chmielewski, 73, of Long Valley, NJ died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center of Hackettstown, N.J.. Edward was born in Newark, NJ. He is the son of the late Stanley and Caroline (Neividomski) Chmielewski.
He spent most of his life in Long Valley and was one of the first families to move into Capital Estates. Ed was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Mountain Roman Catholic Church and a proud member of the NRA.
He was an auto shop instructor at Lenape Valley High School before his retirement.
Previously he was an auto shop instructor for the Essex County Vocational School.
He was predeceased by his wife Caroline in 1994
He is survived by 2 sons Edward T Chmielewski and his wife Susan, Christopher J. Chmielewski and his wife Yo Cotel, a daughter Christina Chmielewski, a Brother, Stanley Chemielewski and his wife Ginny and a sister Jamie Ananko. Also 7 Grandchildren.
Friends may call Saturday morning, April 29 beginning at 9am at the Cochran Funeral Home 905 High Street, Hackettstown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Mountain Roman Catholic Church, Schooley’s Mountain. Interment will be in the parish cemetery

I wish I had tried to be a better friend , but me in S.Jersey far away and you way up here made it pretty hard to spend much time together.
