John Michael Barbato, Jr.
Died: Nov 1, 2015
He was employed by Abilities Workshop, Washington NJ as an Aide, John enjoyed his work very much and will miss spending time with the people he helped. He was an avid drum and guitar player and loved to play basketball.
He is survived by his mother; Zoeann Tanis and husband Paul, father; John M. Barbato, Sr. and wife Jamie, brother; Vincent Nicholas Barbato, maternal grandparents; Judith amd Robert Crane, maternal uncle; Robert Crane and wife Synthia, Paternal Uncles; Louis Barbato, III and wife Phyllis, Vincent Barbato and wife Connie and many cousins.
John is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Louis & Theresa Barbato.
The funeral will be held 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 4 at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Father David Pekola officiating.
Visitation hours will be Wednesday, November 4 from 4:00 - 8:00PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.

Dear Johnny and ZoAnn and the Barbato and Crane families,

I was so thrilled and proud to call you my nephew on the day your Mom and my brother, Paul, married. Your talent on the drums was unmatched and your kindness to Nana was something wonderful. We will miss you so much. We only got to see you when we came to NJ and I now wish I had been able to enjoy you one more time last May. God bless your family. He was supposed to start working with us in the deli at Shop Rite. He came in on Saturday and some of us met him and said he seemed like such a nice young man. It's a shame he's gone at such a young age. The appy crew at Shop Rite would like to give our condolences to the family.

I will never forget all of the times we have spent together throughout our childhood. From teaching me how to swim, getting me into the online game we played called Habbo, playing on the same baseball team for a few years, playing "Rocky can't touch us" in your back yard when we would run around and if Rocky touched us we were out. The day you made me a dad was the happiest day of my life. I watched you grow and you gave me the most joy I could ever ask for. You let me truly feel what it was like to be a proud dad. Throughout your years you were the reason I lived and breathed and was so proud to call you my son. You grew into this handsome young man that made me smile. I know you already know how much I love you and that your dad is still here for you. I will think of you and talk to you every day. You are forever in my heart and I know you will be by my side every day till dad sees you again. Like I have always told you your dad is always here for you and that I love you so much.
